This step of the process defines how each of the users will interact with the web site.

Our suggestion is to create "storybooks" or flows though the web site of which pages will be used and what the interaction of the user is to be at each step. A storybook is a paper rendition of the pages the user will interact with and the flow the user may follow through the web site. In this fashion, it is possible to get a feel of the entire site and to optimize it as needed.

This step also involves designing a page layout for the web site. Page layouts usually involve answers to questions such as:

bulletHow wide should the page be?
bulletWhat is the maximum acceptable download time?
bulletAre there common elements that every page must have? (ie. search, navigation..)
bulletWhich colors should be used?
bulletWhich fonts should be used?
bulletAre specific web browsers to be targeted?
