Once the analysis has been completed, we
suggest you set goals to reach for each category you have defined in the
analysis. These goals define what return is expected and in what
timeframe the return should occur. The more definitive the goals, the
more likely they are to be achieved. Some examples include:
 | We expect to generate 200 new customer leads per month. |
 | We will sell 700 units of our product in 2 months. |
 | By making our education material available on the web we will
reach 500 people a month with it. |
 | The wait time for our customers to obtain information about our
product will be reduced from 2 days to 10 minutes in the next five
months. |
 | The number of steps an analyst needs to complete his job will be
reduced from 12 to 4 in three months. |
As the goals are laid out, we believe that it becomes easier to see
how the web site or custom software will allow the goal to be achieved.
We also believe that it becomes easier to define what else needs to
occur in addition to the web site or software to achieve the goal. |
